We have had excellent results from the classic "RA" seals, which are running in stock and modified street cars and race cars all over the world. In fact, we have so many customers into high boost drag racing, that we decided to develop an apex seal specifically geared toward higher boost turbo cars. The seal was developed in the summer of 2005 and has been running in numerous test cars (including NA, stock turbo, drag racing cars and nitrous boosted cars) ever since. The results have been excellent!! RA Super Seals are made of the same base material as classic RA seals. They then go through an extra process to make the seals even more resistant to high heat conditions. This secondary treatment process gives them a distinctive black color. RA Super Seals do NOT come with springs. We recommend using our racing springs/ Mazda springs (which have a high nickel content for high temperature performance) with these seals. Like all 2 mm RA seals, they are a drop in replacement for the Mazda stock seals - no engine modifications required. We do NOT claim that any of our seals are unbreakable (although nobody has broken one yet inside an engine). All seals will fail if pushed hard enough or if installed in worn or improperly machined rotors. When pushed hard enough, the typical failure mode of RA seals is that they 'sag' in the center when the critical annealing temperature of the metal is reached. The result is a loss of compression and subsequently power, but the seal remains intact and does not damage the rotor housing or rotors. The difference in the RA Super seals is that the additional processing raises the annealing temperature about 80%. This gives an all important margin of safety in engines running high boost or a big shot of NOX. RA Super seals come with the same warranty is classic RA seals: We guarantee them against defects in manufacturing and material for 60 days from date of purchase.
