RD-1 Gear Drive - Installed on Engine

This is a top view of the RD-1 as installed on the engine.   The line connected to the top of the gear housing supplies lubricating oil from the engine to the bearings and gears.  Although not visible in this photo, there are two oil return fittings on the bottom of the gear housing.  These return the oil to the engine oil pan.
