We had a wonderful time at Oshkosh this year, in spite of the weather which varied between cloudy, IFR conditions and rain to 98 degrees with blazing sun, depending on the hour.   It was particularly gratifying to see two of our customers there , both of whom are using the RD-1A gear drive and EC2 controller. Chuck Dunlap from AZ and Max Lassacher from NY city.

Max flew off his 40 hours just in time to come to Oshkosh, dodging weather all the way. Max built his Falconar from PLANS, and completed the entire plane and engine installation in 3 years and 2 months.  He just about replicated Tracy's engine installation, right down to the maple air intake.  His theory was "if it worked for Tracy, it will work for me".  Based on the performance of Max's 4 place plane, he was right.  We watched him take off and he blew right by the Cessna that took off in front of him.  Click here for more details on Max's project.

David Atkins was also there with his rotary powered RV-6 and Powersport displayed and flew their rotary powered RV-4.   Tracy flew in the Homebuilt Showcase on Friday, giving many people their first opportunity to hear a rotary powered plane.
